SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us as the site operator. Cookies

5. LinkedIn

We aim to regularly inform you about current developments of the project making use of the social network LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “LinkedIn”. Please note, that you use this service and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (e.g. share, rate).

We have no influence neither on the type nor the scope of the data processed by LinkedIn. We do not gain full access to such collected user data or any user profiles. We can only access public profile information. Which information you share publicly can be adjusted via your LinkedIn settings. In addition, you can actively hide your reactions to a post or unfollow the page via the LinkedIn settings. LinkedIn collects personal data of the user, e.g. via cookies. Such collection of user data by LinkedIn can also occur even if the user is not logged in or registered at LinkedIn. LinkedIn provides the following anonymous statistics about the usage of our project-related LinkedIn page:

  • Follower: number of persons following the page – including growth and development over a defined time frame
  • Range: number of people who see a specific contribution; number of interactions on a post, e.g., which pieces of content initiate more engagement within the community than others.

Those statistics are used to steadily improve our LinkedIn online content and to better respond to the interests of our users. We cannot link statistical data with the profiles of our LinkedIn followers.

We only receive personal data via LinkedIn, if you actively transmit your data by sending a personal LinkedIn message. We use this data (e.g. name, surname) to respond to your query.

6. Bluesky

We aim to regularly inform you about the current developments of the alliance making use of the microblogging app and service ("the Bluesky App") Bluesky PBLLC, Seattle, WA US for this purpose. Please note, that you use this service and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. share, comment).

We have no influence neither on the type nor the scope of the data processed by BLUESKY. Furthermore, the type of data processing, the use of data or the transfer of data by BLUESKY cannot be affected. There are no effective means of control implemented.

BLUESKY processes data that you voluntarily enter such as your name and user name, e-mail address, phone number or posts and comments, direct messages in order to enable you to communicate directly and privately with other users on the Bluesky App. Bluesky collects your Internet protocol (IP) address (which can be used to derive your general location), user settings, cookie identifiers, mobile carrier, other unique identifiers, browser or device information, and Internet service provider (ISP). It may also collect personal information about your use of the Bluesky App Services, such as the posts you view on the Bluesky App, the links you click within the Bluesky App, the frequency and duration of your activities, and other similar information.

Furthermore, Bluesky and third parties that provide content or other functionality on the Sites and the Bluesky App may use cookies, pixel tags, and other technologies to automatically collect information when you use the Sites. You can block cookies by setting your internet browser to block some or all cookies.

The data is assigned to the data of your Bluesky account or your Bluesky profile. We have no influence on the type and scope of the data processed by Bluesky PBLLC, the type of processing and use or the transfer of this data to third parties. Information about which data is processed by Bluesky PBLLC and for what purposes it is used can be found in Bluesky's privacy policy. You can also view your own data at Bluesky. Bluesky may transfer, process, and store all personal information it collects anywhere in the world.

Bluesky entails a Supplemental Notice for EU/UK GDPR that only applies to the processing of personal information that is subject to the EU or UK GDPR.

If Bluesky transfers personal information from the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and/or the United Kingdom to a country that does not provide an adequate level of protection under applicable data protection laws, it will do so based on safeguards such as the European Commission-approved or UK Government-approved Standard Contractual Clauses, or otherwise in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

The personal data collected by Bluesky PVLLC will be retained for as long as the Bluesky App Services are used or as necessary to fulfil certain purposes. Since BLUESKY is a non-European provider based in US, it is not bound by German data protection regulations. This concerns, for example, your rights to information, blocking or deletion of data or the possibility of using usage data for advertising purposes to contradict.

Data processed by EURICE:

We process your personal data. Although we do not collect any data about your BLUESKY account ourselves, the data you enter into BLUESKY, in particular your user name and the content published under your account, will be processed by us to the extent that we may share your posts or reply to them or link posts written by us to your account. The data you freely publish and distribute on BLUESKY is thus included by us in and made accessible to your followers.

7. Privacy Notice and Consent Information for Workshop Registration

As a participant in the Online Policy Workshop, this information sheet is provided to you by EURICE, the project's main partner responsible for communication activities You are receiving this information as EURICE processes your personal data as a data controller within the communication activities of the Horizon Europe project “PROTEMO” (Grant Agreement No. 101132433) according to Article 13 GDPR. PURPOSES FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Processing of photos or use of screenshots within the communication strategy of PROJECT PROTEMO

  • Processing on project-related websites that run under the responsibility of P7-EURICE
  • Processing on project-related Social Media channels LinkedIn, BlueSky) to inform about the Workshop
  • Processing for the provision of project-related information to relevant stakeholders and media in the context of project communication activities of P7-EURICE (such as the distribution of press releases, networking activities)

Processing of your registration data, i.e. surname, name, title, email address, affiliated institution, for the organization and implementation of the workshop (communication, participation, invitations).

For this purpose, your personal data might be processed and stored on the Project Management Platform. In this context, the data will be transferred to those persons that need them to fulfil their contractual obligations (e.g. Project Manager of the project). In addition, please note that the Project Management Platform is hosted by millepondo services GmbH & Co. KG, a German software provider located in Cologne. A Data Processing Agreement according to Article 28 GDPR was signed between EURICE and millepondo services GmbH & Co. KG.

LEGAL BASIS OF DATA PROCESSING

The processing of your personal data, i.e. photos or use of screenshots, is in accordance with Art. 6, para. 1, letter a) GDPR on the basis of your consent.

Your registration data is processed for the purpose of the initiation, performance and conclusion of a contract and the related secondary obligations (Art. 6 para. 1b GDPR). These data are processed with the purpose of identifying you as a participant to the

TRANSMISSION TO A THIRD COUNTRY OR INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION

Please note that your personal data is being transferred to Israel and the UK. The processing of personal data in Israel will take place on the basis of the Commission Decision of 31 January 2011 and processing of personal data in the United Kingdom will take place on the basis of the Commission Decision of 28 June 2021. Such Decisions confirm that the countries situated outside the EU offer an adequate level of data protection.

The transmission of your data is not repeated, mass or structural and is carried out according to the tasks established within the Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement.

To reach broader public and to promote our project activities we also use the services of LinkedIn, and BlueSky whose servers are situated outside the EU. Please check our privacy statement under https://protemo.eu/privacy for further information.

In the context of the use of social media accounts, we are controllers within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR together with

  • LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, for the operation of our LinkedIn profiles
  • BlueSky, PBLLC, Seattle, WA, USA

In this context, your data may be transferred to the USA. The recipients mentioned above are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so that this is a GDPR-compliant third country transfer to a country with an adequacy decision. The EU-US Data Privacy Framework was adopted by the European Commission on 10 July 2023 and US is considered as offering adequate protection of data protection within the meaning of Art. 45 GDPR.

Please note that data on the Internet can be accessed anywhere in the world, including in unsecure third countries where there is no adequate level of data protection. We therefore expressly point out that digital images, for example on our website, can be accessed worldwide and that further use by third parties cannot be ruled out.

Please note that our project websites are also accessible to search engines. You must therefore expect that your name and image may also be found by search engines or accounts of third-parties.

Content can also be searched for and reshared on social media services. The providers of the relevant social media services are primarily responsible for this.

DURATION OF STORAGE

Periods for retention result from the applicable Horizon Europe provisions. In accordance thereto, the data must be retained for up to five years after receipt of the project’s final payment, according to Art. 20.1 GA and the PROTEMO Data Sheet, Point 6.

WHICH DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS DO I HAVE?

Each individual has the right to withdraw consent in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR, the right of access in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, the right to rectification in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure (right to be forgotten) in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, the right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR as well as the right to object in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR. Limitations in accordance with §§ 34 and 35 of the German Federal Data Protection Act apply to the right to access and the right to erasure. In addition, individuals have a right to lodge complaints with the data protection supervisory authority about the processing of personal data by us. (Art. 77 GDPR in conjunction with § 19 BDSG).

If the consent is not given, there will be no disadvantages, but you will not appear for e.g. on the project group photos.
